New Delhi: Pratap Singh (IRPS) has been selected for the appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), he has been selected for the appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Department of School Education & Literacy, Delhi under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier.

Singh is an Indian Railways Personnel Service (IRPS) officer of the 2009-batch. He was recommended for the Central deputation by the Ministry of Railways. "He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Department of  School Education & Literacy.
