New Delhi: The Competent Authority has approved the appointment of Preeti Maithil, IAS (Madhya Pradesh cadre, 2009 batch), as Deputy General Manager (at Director level) of the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED), Bhopal, under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
Maithil’s appointment is on a deputation basis for a period of five years from the date of assuming charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The order also directs that she be relieved of her current responsibilities immediately to take up her new assignment at TRIFED.
TRIFED, a national-level cooperative body under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, plays a vital role in promoting and marketing products made by tribal communities across India, thereby supporting their socio-economic development through sustainable livelihoods.
