Preeti Meena (IAS) appointed as DS in Department of School Education & Literacy

IAS officer Preeti Meena has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Department of School Education and Literacy under the Ministry of Education

New Delhi: The Central Government has approved the appointment of Preeti Meena (IAS) as Deputy Secretary in the Department of School Education and Literacy under the Ministry of Education, Govt of India, on Tuesday. According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Meena has been appointed to the post under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever earlier.

Meena is a 2010-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Telangana cadre. Presently, she is posted as Director of Drugs Control Administration, Government of Telangana. "She may kindly be relieved of her duties immediately with instructions to take up her new assignment in the Department of School Education and Literacy," the order further reads.
