Rahul Raichur (IRS) has been appointed as Private Secretary to Union Minister Pralhad Joshi in the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE)

New Delhi: The Government has approved the appointment of Rahul Raichur (IRS) as Private Secretary to Union Minister Pralhad Joshi in the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy. Raichur is an officer of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes), 2015 batch. He is currently posted as Addl. Private Secretary to Union Minister Pralhad Joshi in the Ministry of Department of Consumer Affairs.

Minister Joshi holds charge of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy.

According to an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Raichur will serve at the level of Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy. His appointment is effective from the date he assumes charge and will continue until February 20, 2028 — the balance period of his five-year central deputation tenure — or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Further, Raichur’s appointment is on a co-terminus basis with the tenure of the minister or until he ceases to function in the role, as per the terms outlined in the DoPT’s order.
