New Delhi: Rajesh Kumar Gupta (ITS) has been selected for the appointment as Director in the Ministry of Home Affairs. According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on Tuesday, Gupta has been selected for the appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) for a period of five years with effect from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Gupta is an Indian Telecommunications Service (ITS) officer of 1988-batch. He was recommended for the Central Deputation by the Department of Telecommunications. "He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his assignments in the Ministry of Heavy Industries,” the order further added.
