New Delhi: Raman Kumar (IAS) has been appointed as Private Secretary to Union Minister for Textiles Giriraj Singh in the Ministry of Textile. The Central Government has approved his appointment on Thursday.
According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Kumar has been appointed to the post at the Director level with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post and for the period upto November 28, 2026 (i.e. for the balance period of his tenure of five years as Private Secretary) or on co-terminus basis or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders whichever is earlier.
Kumar is a 2009-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Bihar cadre.
