Rashmi Shukla (IPS) appointed Director-General of SSB

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Rashmi Shukia (IPS) as Director General of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)

New Delhi: Senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Rashmi Shukla has been appointed as the Director-General of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on March 2, “the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs for appointment of Rashmi Shukia for a period with effect from the date of joining the post and up to June 30, 2024 i.e. date of her superannuation or till further orders, whichever is earlier.” Presently, she was serving as Additional Director General of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Hyderabad.

SSB is a border guarding force of India deployed along its borders with Nepal and Bhutan. It is one of the seven Central Armed Police Forces under the administrative control of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
