The Govt has approved the appointment of Reema Jain (IES) as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Defence

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Reema Jain, Indian Economic Service (IES, 2013), as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Defence, Ministry of Defence, under the Central Staffing Scheme.

Jain was recommended for Central deputation by the Department of Economic Affairs. She will serve in her new role for a period of four years from the date of assumption of charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) stated that she should be relieved of her present assignment immediately to enable her to take up the new position in Delhi.
