Ritesh Chauhan (IAS) gets additional charge as MD of NAFED

The Central Government has assigned the additional responsibility of NAFED's MD post to Ritesh Chauhan (IAS)

New Delhi: Ritesh Chauhan (IAS) has been appointed as Managing Director (MD) of the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Limited (NAFED). The Central Government on Wednesday approved the proposal for the entrustment of additional charge of NAFED’s CMD post of additional charge of the post MD, NAFED to Chauhan.

According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), he has been given additional charge of the post for a period of three months with effect from May 1, 2023 or till appointment of regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is the earlier.

Chauhan is a 2005-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre. Presently, he is serving as CEO of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojan (PMFBY) and Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture.
