Himachal Pradesh IAS officer Rugved Milind Thakur has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat on Monday

New Delhi: The Central Government on Monday approved the appointment of Rugved Milind Thakur (IAS) as Deputy Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat. According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on Monday, he has been appointed to the post under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of four years with effect from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier.

Thakur is a 2011-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre. Presently, he is posted as Director of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj-cum Ex-officio Special Secretary (Panchayati Raj) to the Government of Himachal Pradesh. He also holds the additional charge as Managing Director of HP Power Transmission Corporation Limited.
