New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of S Jayavardhan, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 2014 batch from the Chhattisgarh cadre, as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Delhi.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Jayavardhan has been appointed under the Central Staffing Scheme for a tenure of four years from the date of assuming charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The Chhattisgarh government has been asked to relieve Jayavardhan of his current duties immediately to enable him to take up his new assignment in the Ministry of Home Affairs.
