New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Sahil Goyal (IDAS) as Director in the Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation under the Central Staffing Scheme.

Goyal is a Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS) officer of the 2011 batch. He was recommended for the Central deputation by the deputation by the Ministry of Defence.

According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Traning (DoPT), has been appointed for a tenure of five years from the date of assuming charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The DoPT has directed the Ministry of Defence to relieve Goyal of his present responsibilities immediately so that he can take up his new assignment in the Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Government of India, in New Delhi.
