New Delhi: Sanjay Kumar (IAS) has been assigned the additional charge of Secretary, Department of Higher Education. This decision has been approved by the competent authority and comes into immediate effect.
Kumar is a 1990-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the Bihar cadre. Presently, he is serving as the Secretary of the Department of School Education & Literacy. He will hold this additional charge until a regular appointee is named or further directives are issued.
Kumar's extensive career includes significant contributions to the education sector, having previously served as the Secretary of Youth Affairs and as the principal secretary for education in Bihar.
