Sanjay Kumar Singh (IAS) gets additional charge as Secretary of MDoNER

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the assignment of the additional charge of the post of Secretary of Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region to Sanjay Kumar Singh (IAS)

New Delhi: Sanjay Kumar Singh (IAS) has been assigned with the additional charge of the Secretary of the Ministry of Development of the North Eastern Region (MDoNER). The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal for the assignment of the additional charge of the post on August 31. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Singh has been given additional charge of the post with immediate effect, till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Singh is a 1987-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre. He is currently serving as Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances and Department of Pensions & Pensioners Welfare.

The Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region is a government ministry, which functions as the nodal Department of the Central Government to deal with matters related to the socio-economic development of the eight states of northeast India namely: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim.
