The government has approved the appointment of Santanu Kumar Agrahari (IAS) as Director of Census Operations (CDO), Jharkhand, under the Central Staffing Scheme

New Delhi: The Central government has approved the appointment of Santanu Kumar Agrahari (IAS) as Director of Census Operations (CDO) of Jharkhand on Friday. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), he has been appointed to the post (Deputy Secretary-level) under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period with effect from the date of taking over charge of the post up to December 31, 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

"The State government is requested to relieve Shri Santanu Kumar Agrahari lAS (JH:2012) immediately with directions to take up his new assignment as DCO/DCR, Jharkhand, under intimation to this Department and the Registrar General and Census Commissioner, India, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi," the order added.

Agrahari is a 2012-batch IAS officer of the Jharkhand cadre. He is currently posted as Additional Secretary in the Department of Food, Public Distribution & Consumer Affairs of Jharkhand.
