Shanker Lal (IRS) has been selected for the appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation under the Ministry of Jal Shakti

New Delhi: Shanker Lal (IRS) has been selected for the appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation under the Ministry of Jal Shakti.

According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on Tuesday, He has been selected for the appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme (CCS) for a period of four years with effect from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier.

Shanker is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of 2013-batch. He was recommended for Central deputation by the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance. "He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation," the order further reads.
