New Delhi: Shobendra Bahadur (ITS) has been selected for the appointment as Director in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Bahadur has been selected for the appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) for a period of five years, with effect from the date of taking over the charge of the post or until the further orders, whichever is earlier. Bahadur is an Indian Telecom Service (ITS) officer of 1994-batch. He was recommended for Central deputation by the Department of Telecommunication.

Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY)

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is an executive agency of the government. It was carved out of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology on July 16, 2016, as a standalone ministerial agency responsible for IT policy, strategy and development of the electronics industry. Current, Ravi Shankar Prasad is Union Minister for MeitY.
