New Delhi: The Competent Authority has approved the re-designation of the post of Deputy Secretary in the National Recruitment Agency (NRA), currently held by Shruti Singhal (IRAS), to that of Director, National Recruitment Agency. This re-designation has been approved as a personal measure to her, effective from the date of assumption of charge of the re-designated post.

Singhal will serve in this capacity for a tenure extending up to May 23, 2028, completing a total tenure of five years under the Central Staffing Scheme.

Singhal, an officer of the Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS) from the 2011 batch, has held key positions in government administration, contributing to policy implementation and governance frameworks.

The decision aligns with the government’s commitment to strengthening institutional leadership within key recruitment bodies. The National Recruitment Agency, tasked with streamlining recruitment examinations for various non-gazetted posts in the central government and public sector banks, is expected to benefit from her leadership and administrative experience.
