Sridhar Nadimatla (IAS) set to be next CMD of NMDC

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel has recommended the name of Sridhar Nadimatla for the post of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of NMDC Limited

New Delhi: Sridhar Nadimatla (IAS) is set to be the next Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of NMDC Limited, a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Steel. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Saturday.

Nadimatla is a 1997-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Telangana cadre. Presently, he is serving as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of State-owned coal mining company Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL).

Nadimatla has been recommended for the post of CMD of NMDC Limited from a list of seven candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel. Out of seven candidates, two candidates were from MOIL Limited and one each from NMDC Limited, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (RVNL), Indian Railways Stores Service (IRSS) and Indian Administrative Service (IAS).

Before joining SCCL, Nadimatla held various positions in the Government of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States including Sub Collector, Rajahmundry Project Officer of Integrated Tribal Development Agency, Utnoor, Adilabad District. Director of Ports, Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. He worked as Collector and District Magistrate in Ananthapur, Krishna, Warangal and Ranga Reddy Districts.
