SS Nakul (IAS) appointed as Private Secretary to Nirmala Sitharaman

The government has approved the appointment of SS Nakul (IAS) as Private Secretary to Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MoCA)

New Delhi: The government on Thursday approved the appointment of SS Nakul (IAS) as Private Secretary to the Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MoCA) at the level of Deputy Secretary. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Nakul has been appointed as Private Secretary to Nirmala Sitharaman for a period of five years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or on co-terminus basis with the minister or till he ceases to function as private secretary to the minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Profile of SS Nakul (IAS)

Nakul is a 2010-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Karnataka cadre. He is currently serving as Deputy Commissioner of Ballari District in the State Government of Karnataka. He is an Engineering Graduate (BE in Electronics & Communications) and joined civil services in 2010.

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs is an Indian government ministry. It is primarily concerned with the administration of the Companies Act 2013, the Companies Act 1956, the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 & other allied Acts and rules & regulations framed there-under mainly for regulating the functioning of the corporate sector in accordance with the law. It is responsible mainly for the regulation of Indian enterprises in the Industrial and Services sector.
