New Delhi: The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has approved the appointment of Swadha Dev Singh (IAS) as Director of Census Operations (DCO) and Director of Citizen Registration (DCR) at the Office of the Registrar General & Census Commissioner of India (RGI), New Delhi.
Singh is a 2014 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Odisha cadre.
The appointment has been made at the Deputy Secretary level under the Central Staffing Scheme. Singh will assume charge with effect from the date of taking over her new role for a period up to December 31, 2025, which is further extendable as per the admissible tenure under the scheme, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The DoPT has directed the Government of Odisha to relieve her of her current responsibilities immediately to enable her to take up the assignment at RGI Headquarters.
