New Delhi: The Competent Authority has approved the appointment of Takhat Singh Ranawat (IFoS) as Private Secretary to Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel H. D. Kumaraswamy in the Ministry of Heavy Industries.

Ranawat is an Indian Forest Service (IFoS) service officer of Karnataka cadre.

According to the official order issued from DoPT, Ranawat will hold the additional charge while continuing in his present assignment as Private Secretary to the Minister in the Ministry of Steel.

The appointment will be effective from the date of assumption of charge of the post and will remain valid up to November 24, 2026, covering the balance period of his five-year tenure as Private Secretary. The tenure will also be subject to co-terminus conditions with the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
