New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the additional charge of the post of Secretary of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) to Dr Guruprasad Mohapatra (IAS). He has been given additional charge of the post with immediate effect till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Mohapatra is a 1986-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Gujarat cadre. He is currently serving as Secretary in the Department of Promotion of Industry and internal Trade (DPIIT).

Further, ACC has also approved the assignment of the additional charge of the post of Secretary of the Ministry of Textiles Pradip Kumar Tripathi (IAS). He also has been assigned additional charge of the post with immediate effect and till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Tripathi is a 1987-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Jammu & Kashmir cadre. He is currently serving as Secretary in the Ministry of Steel.
