New Delhi: Rajasthan cadre officer Tina Soni (IAS) has been appointed as Director in the Department of Fertilizers under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal for the appointment of Soni in the Department of Fertilizers. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), she has been appointed to the post on a lateral shift basis with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post and for a period up to March 3, 2023 (i.e. balance tenure of 5 years under Central Staffing Scheme), or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Tina is a 2007-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) of Rajasthan cadre. She is currently serving as Director in the Cabinet Secretariat. On December 30, she was promoted to the post of Director in the Cabinet Secretariat. Prior to this, she serving as Deputy Secretary in Cabinet Secretariat since December 2017.
