Vikram Dev Dutt (IAS) appointed as Director General in DGCA

The ACC has approved the appointment of Vikram Dev Dutt (IAS) as Director General in the Directorate General of Civil Aviation under the Ministry of Civil Aviation

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Vikram Dev Dutt (IAS) as Director General in the Directorate General of Civil Aviation under the Ministry of Civil Aviation in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary to the Government of India. According to an order issued on January 21 from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), he has been appointed to the post in place of Arun Kumar (IAS) upon his superannuation on February 28.

Dutt is a 1993-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre. Presently, he is serving as Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Air India Asset Holding Limited.

In addition to Dutt, ACC has approved the following appointment on Saturday:

Alok (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Alok is a 1993-batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre. Presently, he is posted as Member (Administration) in the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.

Himachal Pradesh cadre IPS officer Satinder Pal Singh has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs by temporarily downgrading a vacant post of Special Secretary in the Ministry.

Amardeep Singh Bhatia (IAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Commerce under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry.

Arti Bhatnagar (IDAS) has been appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Commerce & Industry.

Further, The ACC has also approved the extension of the central deputation tenure of Ashutosh Jindal (IAS) as Additional Secretary of the Cabinet Secretariat for a period of one year beyond February 16, 2023, i.e. up to February 16, 2024, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
