Vikram Dev Dutt (IAS) assumes charge as Coal Secretary

IAS officer Vikram Dev Dutt has taken over charge as Secretary of the Ministry of Coal with effect from September 21

New Delhi: Vikram Dev Dutt (IAS) has assumed the charge as the Secretary of the Ministry of Coal on Monday. Dutt is a 1993-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre. Previously, he has served as the Director General of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

He succeeds VL Kantha Rao, who currently serves as the Secretary of the Ministry of Mines and holds additional charge of the Ministry of Coal. Prior to Rao, Amrit Lal Meena served as the Secretary of the Ministry of Coal.
