Vivek Singh appointed as OSD to Nirmala Sitharaman

New Delhi: Vivek Singh has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Singh has been appointed as OSD to the post for a period of four years with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post, or on a co-terminus basis with the Minister, or until further orders, whichever event occurs the earliest. Singh is a private person to be appointed as OSD to the Minister. He is currently serving as Additional Private Secretary to the Finance Minister.

In a separate order issued on Tuesday, the ACC has approved the proposal for the appointment of Prof. Pramod Kumar Garg as Executive Director in the Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), Faridabad. He is currently serving as a Professor in the Department of Gastroenterology of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.
