New Delhi: The Central Government has approved the appointment of Yashu Rustagi (IAS) as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT). According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), she has been appointed under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) for a period of four years with effect from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier.

"She may kindly be relieved of her duties immediately with instructions to take up her new assignments in the Department of Personnel & Training," the order further read.

Rustagi is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of a 2012-batch of Uttar Pradesh cadre. Presently, she is posted as Additional Director of the Uttar Pradesh Academy of Administration and Management (UPAM). Previously, she held positions such as DM Shravasti and Director, State Urban Development Agency (SUDA).
