New Delhi: JSW Neo Energy Limited, a subsidiary of JSW Energy Limited, has been awarded a 300 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project by NTPC Limited. This project is part of NTPC's initiative to develop 1,000 MW of ISTS-connected Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Projects under its Tranche-VI competitive bidding process.
With this new project, JSW Energy's total generation capacity has increased to 16.7 GW, of which 2.6 GW is dedicated to hybrid power projects. The company is on track to expand its installed generation capacity from the current 7.5 GW to 10 GW by the fiscal year 2025.
This award marks a significant step in JSW Energy's strategy to diversify its energy offerings and accelerate its transition into an integrated energy products and services provider. The company's overall portfolio includes operational, under-construction, and pipeline projects across wind, thermal, hydro, and renewable energy, with a focus on reaching 20 GW of generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage by 2030.
