L&T consortium wins jacket installation project from Aramco

The project awarded to L&T arm entails the installation of 28 jackets in Zuluf, Marjan, Sfaniya and Ribyan offshore fields of Saudi Arabia

New Delhi: Larsen & Toubro (L&T) informed its shareholders on Thursday that a consortium of its arm LTHE, and EMAS AMC PTE Ltd has been awarded a project by Saudi Aramco for offshore jackets.

"Consortium of L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering Ltd (LTHE) and EMAS AMC PTE Ltd (a subsea7 company) has been awarded a project by Saudi Aramco," L&T said in a regulatory filing.

28 offshore jackets to be installed

The project entails the installation of 28 jackets in Zuluf, Marjan, Sfaniya and Ribyan offshore fields of Saudi Arabia, the company said. LTHE is a subsidiary of L&T and is based in Mumbai.

Award demonstrates Aramco's trust

The award demonstrates Aramco's trust on LTHE's capability to deliver to a challenging schedule with excellent safety and quality performance, it said. L&T added that LTHE's fabrication facilities in the Middle East and India are fully equipped to execute these challenging projects.
