BHEL extends support for construction of road-bridge in Bengaluru

New Delhi: As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has contributed to the construction of a road-bridge over a canal in Bengaluru North Taluk. The project will establish much-needed connectivity between Harokyathanahalli village and nearby areas with Bengaluru city.

The bridge was inaugurated by Yelahanka's MLA SR Viswanath and BHEL's Director (HR & Power) Anil Kapoor in the presence of Bengaluru District's DC and DM J Manjunath (IAS). The construction of the road-bridge has been fully funded by BHEL and the civil works have been carried out by state government agencies.

Speaking on the occasion, the MLA appreciated the initiatives taken by BHEL for development of the country's infrastructure especially those for the benefit of the people at large. While Kapoor highlighted the various CSR initiatives implemented by BHEL for societal development, in his address.
