New Delhi/Vasco: Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL), a Miniratna Defence PSU, has pitched in to help the state government of Goa in its fight against COVID-19. The PSU announced to provide an "onsite oxygen generating plant" under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) fund for the COVID-19 hospital. The proposed Oxygen plant will generate medical oxygen @ 960 litres per minute and will be set up within a month by GSL.
Additionally, considering the urgency of medical Oxygen, GSL is providing 40 nos. "oxygen concentrators" and an isolation centre with 25 beds have been kept ready at GSL, Unit-lll at Zuarinagar, Goa. This information has been shared by the Minister of State for Defence Shripad Naik in a series of tweet on Friday.

The company is capable of indigenously designing and building sophisticated high technology ships for Indian Defence Forces and other varied clients including export markets.
