CSR Watch: Power Grid contributes 3 Ambulances to Ferozpur Civil Surgeon

Power Grid has handed over three ambulances to the Civil Surgeon, Ferozpur as part of its CSR efforts for the aspirational district of Ferozpur

New Delhi: Power Grid, a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Power, has handed over three ambulances to the Civil Surgeon, Ferozpur, Punjab on January 22 as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts for the aspirational district of Ferozpur.

The Aspirational District Program by NITI Aayog is an initiative of the government in partnership with the state governments aimed at transforming 117 districts of the country and Power Grid has been given the responsibility for the Ferozpur district of the state.

The keys of the three ambulances have been handed over by Power Grid's Chief General Manager (AM) Vibhay Kumar, Senior General Manager (HR) Bhavna Mathur and Senior General Manager P Biswas in presence of District Collector of Ferozpur Gurpal Singh Chahal.

Power Grid, a 'Maharatna' CPSE under the Ministry of Power and Central Transmission Utility (CTU) of India, is India's principal power transmission company and also one of the largest power transmission utilities in the world. Power Grid's vast transmission network comprises of about 168,140 circuit kilometers of transmission lines, 252 EHVAC & HVDC substations with the transformation capacity of about 420,630 MVA, spread across the country. This network has been consistently maintained at an average availability of about 99 percent.
