New Delhi: Engineers India Limited (EIL) has inaugurated a Skill Training Centre for women in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, under its flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, "Project Shakti," aimed at promoting sustainable livelihood opportunities for underprivileged women.

The Skill Training Centre was inaugurated by EIL Chairman and Managing Director Atul Gupta in the presence of Director (Finance) Sanjay Jindal and Director (HR) R.K. Singh.

As part of the initiative, EIL has supported the installation of tailoring equipment at the centre, where around 300 underprivileged women are expected to receive vocational training annually.

The training programme will offer structured courses in tailoring, embroidery and garment finishing. Participants will receive hands-on training using sewing and embroidery machines, enabling them to develop industry-relevant skills that can improve their employability and support self-employment opportunities.

Upon successful completion of the programme, trainees will be awarded certificates, enhancing their professional credentials and increasing their prospects for securing employment or starting their own livelihood ventures.

According to EIL, the initiative is part of its continued efforts to empower women through skill development and create sustainable income-generating opportunities in local communities.
