Governor of Haryana honors Power Grid for best CSR practices

New Delhi: The Governor of Haryana Bandaru Dattatreya bestowed Power Grid with the Best CSR Practices during the COVID-19 prevention award at the 75th Independence Day celebration in Gurugram. The award was received by Power Grid's Director (Personnel) VK Singh.

Power Grid on August 14, commissioned an Oxygen Plant for Haryana Government at a cost of Rs 2.88 crore under its CSR initiative. The Oxygen plant with a capacity of 1,660 LPM (Litres per Minute) can cater to 100 COVID patients or fill up 250 jumbo Oxygen cylinders per day in Gurugram.

During the lockdown due to the COVID pandemic about Rs 1.5 crores worth of dry ration, medical equipment and PPE kits were distributed among the migrant labours and needy people in Haryana.

In addition to this, Power Grid also provided 06 nos. advanced life-support ambulances to the government hospitals in the state.
