Under the first MoU, MCL will contribute Rs 1.23 crore through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative to provide nutritional food baskets to 1,100 TB patients for one year. The initiative is being undertaken under the Ni-kshay Mitra programme to support patients' nutritional needs and recovery.
The MoU has been signed by Jyotirmay Sinha, General Manager (CSR), MCL, and Siddheshwar Baliram Bondar, IAS, Collector and District Magistrate of Sambalpur.
The initiative aligns with the national effort to eliminate tuberculosis by strengthening nutritional assistance and community-level healthcare support for patients.
Under the second MoU, MCL will provide Rs 28.16 lakh for the installation of 80 solar streetlights in four villages and two hamlets of Baham Gram Panchayat.
The project aims to improve public lighting, enhance safety and make public spaces more accessible to residents.
