The development of these Chhath Ghats will provide local residents, particularly those from the surrounding and Project Affected Villages (PAVs), with safer and more convenient facilities for the observance of Chhath Puja and other community activities.
The initiative assumes special significance in view of the upcoming Chhath festival, when these water bodies witness large gatherings of devotees. The proposed infrastructure development is expected to facilitate safer and more organised celebrations for the local community.
NTPC Kanti has been consistently undertaking various CSR and community development initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life and supporting the socio-economic development of communities in and around its project area. The development of Chhath Ghats is another step towards strengthening NTPC Kanti's commitment to community welfare and inclusive development.
