COVID-19: PFC to provide PPE kits and Ambulances to Uttarakhand

New Delhi: In yet another step to fight the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC), the Navratna PSU under Ministry of Power and India's leading NBFC, has come forward to provide financial assistance of Rs 1.23 crore to the government of Uttarakhand.

According to the company, this fund will be utilized for procurement of 500 Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) Kits for frontline staff and six fully equipped Ambulances which will be handed over to the Health Department of Uttarakhand State. This corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative by PFC will further support the preparedness of the state of Uttarakhand in its fight against the spread of COVID-19.

Recently, the Power PSU has tied up with TajSATS to provide hygienic and nutritious food to doctors and other health medical staff engaged in the treatment of COVID-19 patients at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in New Delhi.

Earlier, PFC had contributed Rs 200 crore to the PM-CARES Fund to support the battle against COVID-19. The employees of PFC have also come forward for the cause and have donated their one day salary to PM CARES Fund. Further, PFC has contributed Rs 50 lakh each to the District Collectors of Siddharth Nagar and Bulandshahar in Uttar Pradesh along with Rs 50 lakh to Indian Red Cross Society to provide medical equipment in Kota, Rajasthan.
