POWERGRID signs MoU with KSB and NFCH under CSR

POWERGRID has signed two separate MoU with Kendriya Sainik Board (KSB) and National Foundation for Communal Harmony (NFCH) under its CSR initiative

New Delhi: Powergrid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna PSU, under the Ministry of Power, is continuously emphasizing on the overall development of unprivileged societies and communities through its corporate social responsibilities (CSR) initiatives. Taking a step towards social welfare, POWERGRID has signed two separate MoU with the Kendriya Sainik Board (KSB) and National Foundation for Communal Harmony (NFCH) under its CSR.

MoU with Kendriya Sainik Board (KSB)

POWERGRID has signed an MoU with Kendriya Sainik Board (KSB), a nodal organisation of the government under the Ministry of Defence, on Wednesday in New Delhi. This MoU has been signed for contribution to Armed Forces Flag Day Fund (AFFDF) for supporting the education of ex-servicemen's children, martyrs and their widows. The MoU of Rs 15 crore, has been signed by POWERGRID's Director (Personnel) VK Singh and Kendriya Sainik Board's (KSB) Secretary, SM, Brigadier Mrigendra Kumar in presence senior officials of POWERGRID and KSB.

MoU with National Foundation for Communal Harmony (NFCH)

In another event, POWERGRID has signed an MoU with National Foundation for Communal Harmony (NFCH), an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Home Affairs, for providing assistance for the rehabilitation of child victims of communal, caste, ethnic or terrorist violence, with special reference to their care, education and training besides promoting communal harmony, fraternity and national integration in Assam, Manipur and Chhattisgarh.

MoU with National Foundation for Communal Harmony (NFCH)

The MoU of Rs 2.1 crore has been signed by POWERGRID's Chief General Manager (CSR) MK Singh and NFCH's DDO Ravi Sankar Tripathi in the presence of POWERGRID's Director (Personnel) VK Singh and NFCH's Secretary Manoj Pant. On the occasion, senior officials from both of organisation were also present.
