REC partners with CII for skill training & employment of underprivileged youth

New Delhi: REC Limited has partnered with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), one of the largest Industry Associations in India, to provide industry-aligned, job oriented skill training and employment to 1,500 youths from the economically weaker section of the society under their corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative. A memorandum of agreement (MoA) in this regard has been signed between both the institutions represented by REC Foundation's CEO Srinivas Shroff Nagesha Rao and CII's Executive Director Sougata Roy Choudhury.

Under the project, youths from the seven states namely Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, NCR, Bihar and Maharashtra will receive job oriented skill training as per industry requirements in sectors like Power: information technology & information technology-enabled services (IT- ITes); Healthcare; Hospitality; Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI), Logistics and Beauty & Wellness. This initiative will create a win-win situation for the community as well as Industry.
