SAIL, EdCIL sign MoU to set-up smart digital classrooms under CSR initiative

New Delhi: Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with EdCIL (India) Limited to establish Smart Digital Classrooms in schools located around SAIL’s operational areas under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

The MoU was signed on May 26, with the objective of promoting inclusive education and improving learning outcomes through the use of digital infrastructure in schools.

According to the companies, the initiative aligns with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 as well as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal-4 (SDG-4), which focuses on ensuring inclusive, equitable, and quality education along with lifelong learning opportunities for all.

The agreement was signed in the presence of SAIL's Director (Personnel) KK Singh. Senior officials from both SAIL and EdCIL were also present during the signing ceremony.

SAIL said the collaboration reflects its commitment towards strengthening educational infrastructure and supporting inclusive development through targeted CSR initiatives.
