SJVN contributes Rs 2 crores; employees Rs 55 lakh in Aapda Rahat Kosh

SJVN contributed Rs 2 crores, while the employees of the company voluntarily donated their one-day salary amounting to Rs 55 Lakh to the Apada Rahat Kosh of the state

New Delhi: SJVN Limited's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Nand Lal Sharma called on Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Sukhvinder Singh and handed over two cheques amounting to Rs 2.55 crores to Aapda Rahat Kosh. On this occasion from SJVN Director (Personnel) Geeta Kapur and Director (Electrical) Sushil Sharma were also present.

Sharma apprised Chief Minister that as a responsible corporate citizen and understanding the gravity of situation due to incessant rains and devastating floods in the state SJVN is contributing Rs 2 crores to the Rahat Kosh while the employees of SJVN are voluntarily donating their one-day salary amounting to Rs 55 Lakh.

Sharma further said that, SJVN has always been in forefront in supporting the society and the government in such difficult situations. He further said that SJVN and its employees have always stood with the State and its people.

Aapda Rahat Kosh is a digital platform created by Government of Himachal Pradesh, which aims at aiding the disaster-affected people of Himachal Pradesh. The State has faced immense losses due to the unprecedented rainfall, marking the worst calamity the state has experienced in 50 years.
