CSR Watch: SJVN organises special COVID vaccination drive at Shimla

SJVN Limited in collaboration with Fortis Healthcare, Mohali organised a COVID Vaccination drive for its employees and their family members

New Delhi: Showing solidarity in the nation's fight against COVID-19, SJVN Limited is organising a two-day COVID Vaccination camp at its corporate headquarters, Shimla.
On day one, around 600 individuals, including SJVN employees and their family members of 18 years and above age, were inoculated during the vaccination drive. The security personnel and staff deployed by HIMPESCO, contractual workers engaged by various contractors at SJVN Office and their family members and people from the vicinity also received the vaccine. The employees and family members between 45 to 60 years eligible for the second dose also received their second dosage of the vaccine.

SJVN's Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Nand Lal Sharma visited the vaccination venue and appreciated the arrangements made for the smooth conduct of the vaccination drive. He said that the vaccination drive is being organised to safeguard the employees and their family members from the ongoing pandemic. He said that SJVN is committed to being a partner in this act of serving humanity as well as providing a healthier workforce to ensure an uninterrupted 24×7 power supply to the nation.

The vaccination drive is being organised in collaboration with Fortis Healthcare, Mohali. In addition to this, doctors and para-medical staff from project hospitals of SJVN are also deployed for a successful organisation of the vaccination camp. All the necessary COVID-19 protocols are being ensured during the camp.
