3-days DGP, IGP conference in Delhi from tomorrow, Friday

New Delhi: Top police officers of all the states in India will take part in the three-days long DGP, IGP conference 2023 beginning January 20. The conference will be held in Pusa institutional area from January 20th to 22nd.

Top police officials, including the Director General of Police (DGP) and Inspector General of Police (IGPs) from all states, are set to gather for a three-day conference in Delhi from January 20. The all-India meeting is being organised for senior police personnel to chalk out strategies to curb crime in the country.

Top officers from all intelligence agencies will also be present at the meeting. One of the various agendas of the meeting will be devising a strategy to prevent big cyber attacks on premier institutions such as AIIMS. Additionally, drone threats on the border, terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, and cyber security including the Naxal problem will be discussed over the three days in the DGP IGP conference. Sources said that the conference will prepare the future road map by discussing many other issues including radicalization, misuse of cryptocurrency, smuggling through the dark web, extremist problems in the North East, and border management.

Plans will be made to stop drug deals and crack down on narcoterrorists. Coastal security will also be given special attention in this meeting.

The conference will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

All officials will present their ideas, and joint action will be taken across the country on the points agreed upon in the meeting.
