New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has cleared the appointment of Amal Kumar Chakrabarty as Director (Finance) at Troop Comforts Limited (TCL), a PSU under the Ministry of Defence.
According to an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on August 21, Chakrabarty, who is currently serving as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), will take over the new role in TCL, a Defence Public Sector Undertaking (DPSU) under the Department of Defence Production.
Troop Comforts Limited, carved out of the erstwhile Ordnance Factory Board (OFB), is engaged in the manufacturing of troop comfort items such as uniforms, tents, and other essential logistic supplies for the armed forces.
