BDL launches new products & signs MoUs with various organisations at DefExpo22

Gandhinagar: Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a government-owned enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, launched three new products during the ongoing Defexpo22 at Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

BDL launched an anti-tank guided missile for 'MBT ARJUN', the 'Sangramika', a light-weight vehicle-mounted anti-tank guided weapon system and the 'Sanharika', an armoured vehicle-mounted laser guided short range anti-aircraft weapon system during the Bandhan Ceremony.

During the ceremony, BDL CMD Commodore (Retired) Siddharth Mishra handed over the first model of the new products to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. P Radhakrishna, Director (Production), N Srinivasulu, Director (Finance), Commodore A Madhavarao (Retired), Executive Director (Marketing), BDL and other senior officials were also present on the occasion.

"BDL is constantly striving to offer new products and new product variants to the Indian Armed Forces in order to mitigate product dependency on foreign countries. The products meet international standards in terms of quality and performance which qualify them to be of world-class," said Commodore Siddharth Mishra (Retired).

BDL signs MoUs with various organisations

During the Bandhan Ceremony, BDL also entered into agreements with various organisations. Commodore (Retd) Mishra said that MoUs signed with the new partners would pave way for greater cooperation between the companies.

BDL signed an MoU with Dassault Aviation Pvt Ltd for the integration of BDL weapon systems like Astra and smart anti-airfield weapon on Rafale Aircraft for the Indian Armed Forces and future export markets. Also, BDL and IIT-Ropar have entered into an MoU to work on joint research projects and technology development for all missiles and underwater weapons.

Apart from these organisations, BDL also signed MoUs with Ashok Leyland Defence Systems Limited, Mahindra Defence Systems and Newspace Technologies.
