BEL achieves record turnover of Rs 23,000 crore in FY 2024-25

BEL has reported a record turnover of approximately Rs 23,000 crore (provisional and unaudited) for the financial year 2024-25

New Delhi: Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has reported a record turnover of approximately Rs 23,000 crore (provisional and unaudited) for the financial year 2024-25. This marks a significant 16 percent growth over the previous year’s turnover of Rs 19,820 crore.

The company’s export sales also saw a notable increase, reaching approximately USD 106 million in FY 2024-25, compared to USD 92.98 million in the previous fiscal year, reflecting a 14 percent rise.

BEL secured fresh orders worth Rs 18,715 crore during the fiscal year. Some of the major contracts awarded include the BMP II Upgrade, Ashwini Radar, Software Defined Radios, Data Link, Multi-Function Radars, EON 51, Seekers, Anti-Drone Systems, Airport Surveillance Radar, Sonar Upgradation, Flycatcher Spares, Radar Upgradation, and various spares and services. Additionally, the company received significant projects in the non-defence sector.

As of April 1, 2025, BEL's total order book stands at an estimated Rs. 71,650 crore, which includes an export order book valued at USD 359 million.

Commenting on the company’s performance, BEL's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Manoj Jain stated, “BEL strives to attain self-reliance through enhanced indigenisation efforts, expansion, and modernisation, while also promoting outsourcing to Indian industries, including MSMEs and start-ups. We have also devised strategies to maximise our global outreach and strengthen our presence in international markets. These initiatives will enable BEL to maintain its leadership position in the strategic electronics sector.”
