BEL bags Rs 633 crore order from CSL for advanced defence equipment

New Delhi: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has received an order worth Rs 633 crore (excluding taxes) from Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL).

The order pertains to the supply of critical components required for various sensors, weapon systems, fire control systems, and communication equipment developed and supplied by BEL.

This new order underscores BEL’s key role in supporting India’s indigenous shipbuilding and defence manufacturing ecosystem, aligning with the Government’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative. The collaboration with CSL further strengthens BEL’s long-standing contribution to the nation’s maritime defence capabilities.

BEL continues to expand its portfolio across advanced defence electronics, radars, communication systems, and other mission-critical technologies, consolidating its position as a trusted partner in India’s defence modernisation drive.
