BEL signs tripartite MoU for manufacture of indigenised ammunition

BEL has signed a tripartite MoU with joint stock company Rosoboronexport, Russia, and MSK Business Solutions for co-operation in the licensed production and supply of indigenised ammunition

New Delhi: Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) on Tuesday signed a tripartite MoU with joint stock company Rosoboronexport, Russia, and MSK Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd. for co-operation in the licensed production and supply of indigenised ammunition: 30 mm ammunition (HEI & HET), 40 mm ammunition (VOG-25) and 30 mm grenade ammunition (VOG-30 D).

The MoU aims at leveraging the complementary strengths and capabilities of BEL and Rosoboronexport. It will enable the indigenisation of ammunition, as required by the Indian Army, in line with the Government of India's 'Make in India' and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiatives.

BEL's Director (Marketing) KV Suresh Kumar and Rosoboronexport's Deputy Director General Viacheslav V Kozlov signed the MoU documents in Delhi on Tuesday in the presence of MSK Business Solutions Pvt Ltd's Chairman and Managing Director Anuj Gupta and GMs of BEL.
