BEML holds skits, swachhta programmes on Gandhi Jayanti

BEML Limited celebrated the 150th Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi with skits, swachhta programmes and the release of a short audio-visual film

Mysore: BEML Limited celebrated the 150th Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi with skits, swachhta programmes and the release of a short audio-visual film. BEML CMD Deepak Kumar Hota, who was the chief guest at Mysore, garlanded the 'Father of the Nation' Mahatma Gandhi's portrait and paid floral tributes.

While recalling Gandhiji's principles and his ideals, Hota said, "Let us pledge for contributing towards a healthier environment by not using single-use plastic in all walks of life." On this occasion, a short AV was released on BEML's contribution towards environmental conservation. The film was dedicated to the Mahatma. Gandhiji's favourite bhajans were sung and Swachhta programmes were also organised to create awareness on cleanliness. Skits were enacted to educate on environmental hazards, safe driving and social elimination of ills.

A large number of employees and executives took part in the programmes.
